Sunday, March 22, 2020 Update:

Lee Street theatre is very excited to announce that we will offer live, online content during our hiatus from normal operating practices. We are thrilled to continue supporting our local theatre community during this challenging time.

Practicing as much social distancing and abiding by safety recommendations as closely as possible, Lee Street will broadcast live performances from our theatre beginning in April, utilizing local talent and tech. We will begin the series with a focus on public domain works and original content in order to fill our community's need for both entertaining and educational content.

The current line-up of events include:
APRIL 4th - “The Importance of Being Earnest”
APRIL 11th - “A Night at the Lee Street IMPROV”
APRIL 18th - “An Evening Concert at Lee Street”
APRIL 25th - “Charlie’s Aunt” on April 25.
All performances are scheduled to air online and live at 7PM.

These performances will also be available for download to accommodate patrons unable to attend live. Further details will be available in the days ahead at, including pricing, schedule, and how to access events.

Lee Street theatre continues to be the place where you can experience the feeling of live performance in Salisbury. We are proud and grateful for the ability and opportunity to support our patrons, talent and technical partners in the efforts to continue live performance in our area and around the world during this challenging time.

Please support Lee Street theatre’s mission to foster the development and presentation of original, challenging, and entertaining performance art by attending these events or purchasing tickets for a future event. Also, like many theatres locally and nationally, Lee Street theatre is happy to receive a gift of any amount in support of its programming and mission. Tuesday, March 17, 2020 Update:

Lee Street theatre would like to update you about how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting us and the events in the near future.

At least through the end of March, our office and building is officially closed to the public. All phone calls and emails are being forwarded to Executive Director Rod Oden. If you need to contact Lee Street, please feel free to call or email us with questions or inquiries. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

We unfortunately have to make adjustments to accommodate the uncertain length of time the theatre may be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are postponing our production of "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" to later this season. Because of this delay, we have cancelled our production of Death of a Salesman this season. We are on-track with our summer musical, "9 to 5." Our June 26th concert Chatham County Line is also on-track. All other events and rentals previously scheduled at Lee Street, have been postponed at this time. Lee Street is looking into other performance models and events to offer you while we are all practicing social distancing and self-quarantining.

Please know we will continue to assess this schedule based on CDC and Government guidelines for public venues. If you are looking for a way to provide relief to our theatre community at this time, please consider making a gift to us HERE. Your gift of ANY SIZE will help us to forge forward and continue the mission of Lee Street theatre. Help us continue to allow you to experience the feeling, even through this difficult time.

Thank you for your understanding and THANK YOU for all your continued support.

Lee Street Board of Directors and Rod Oden, Executive Director
